Youth Engagement

We have also established the National Youth Commission for Mental Health, a key initiative under the National Commission for Mental Health. This initiative focuses on youth engagement, research, and policy advocacy, addressing mental health challenges affecting young people with various lived experiences across the UK.

As a charity, one of our biggest aims is to include the young people in our society in our mission. The young generation is our future, so we need to support their mental health journey and also give them the opportunity to work with the charity and be a part of the events we conduct. We want their voices to be heard. All of our events have an intergenerational theme so that anyone and everyone can get involved, because every small help can go a long way.

Post Event Report

One of our most anticipated events is the Love Not Hate, which takes place annually where we present the all young stars of London in their breathtaking performances ranging from singing and dancing to even boxing. We are also very proud to have many young volunteers, working behind the scenes, to help organise the event and bring it to life. The outstanding work and performances by all the children and young people in the event is what really makes the Love Not Hate event so memorable.

Another event where children and young people get involved, is our Dementia Café. This intergenerational initiative allows children to interact with individuals living with dementia, creating heartwarming moments that leave everyone smiling. At times, the children perform songs and dances for the attendees and it's truly special when the dementia patients join in. Their participation brings joy and a sense of connection that is invaluable.

Additionally, during our annual Silver Sunday event, many children take part by performing for the elderly, making it a truly beautiful and memorable occasion. These moments of interaction not only bring happiness but also foster understanding, empathy and a strong sense of community across generations.
